Got this thing from Apple on Black Friday and am going to see if they will replace it with another brand as there are just too many complaints going around for this piece of ■■■■… too bad, seemed to be a nice looking machine!
I did a new Partition on it (same as the old one) but just dont trust it… *** actually it just went to sleep and I was forced to do the “FE” on it just now!!!
Tried to do a Repair Disk and it seemed to be fine. I cant eject it unless I do a FORCE EJECT which on the last go-round caused real problems for the WD!!! I had to shut down the MacMini for Disk Utility to even recognize the thing. (Journ.) GUID etc… the retarded little piece of crapware of a disc keeps popping up with the HD - which could be the issue?Īnyway… If I am not using the Western Digital 1TB My Passport SE for Mac for even a nano second the thing spins down and goes to sleep then becomes impossible to do anything with. Western Digital 1TB My Passport SE for Mac is formatted properly - Mac OS Ext. On a MacMini and MBP both have OSX 10.6.5.
